New reports claims that Persona 5 S will release on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Fall 2019. Hence, this report is based on a new rumor that popped up ahead of the official announcement of Persona 5 R from Atlus.

However, it turns out that only two domains were registered by Atlus which are the Persona 5 S and Persona 5 R. Last year, Persona 5 R was showed off with a teaser and promised to share more information on it in March this year.

Persona 5 R was expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch in addition to the PS4 but the first teaser for the game had no logo for the Nintendo Switch and just showed a PlayStation logo.

The announcement of the teaser for Persona 5 R mentioned about ‘new projects’ so this can however mean that there will be multiple games which will be revealed this month.

Meanwhile, we don’t know what Atlus have in mind for Persona 5 but according to a new rumor that comes from a Twitter source Mr. Ohya which claims that Persona 5 S is for Nintendo Switch and PS4. Hence, it will be out in Fall 2019 for both platforms.

The tipster however claims that Persona 3 HD Remake is something that Atlus has been considering for now. Persona 3 and 4 are more than two generations old now so if they can get a remake in the same engine and visuals as Persona 5, then it can only be a good thing for the fans.

Atlus has not say anything yet regarding to their Persona series and whether it is their best selling one so far. Also, they are working on Shin Megami Tensei 5 for the Nintendo Switch. Persona has always been released as an exclusive for the PlayStation-family of systems, starting from the PlayStation 2 to PlayStation Vita.

The most recent standard game was for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. If this tumor were to be believed, this will be the first time the series makes its entrance on the Nintendo Switch.

Nevertheless, we often post these rumors on the off-chance that they are true, but as always, you need to take this one with a pinch of salt since there are many reasons why these kinds of rumors usually don’t turn out to be precise or end up being wildly off the mark.

The credibility of the leaker is not that solid since his only claim is about the Persona 5 R announcement that happened earlier, but there are more people who are claiming it is a solid source so we are writing this article in the hope that this turns out to be the case.

Furthermore, Atlus is supposedly going to unveil more information this month so please look forward to an official announcement from them.
